MAGIC WONDER – WE ARE ALL MADE OF LOVE
Let’s talk Magic for a moment, while about one special children’s book.
Magic Wonder came to me on a sunny winter day.
It took just 10 minutes to write, another year to find the perfect illustrator and to establish the perfect charm, 10 more years to perpetually work on my English, and to grow Up and older (ahhhm, I mean wiser…), another year to find enough strength, will, and perseverance to write it all over again, to edit, form, find, publish, breathe, edit some more and… tada! It’s Here!!!
For the yous who like it short, here’s the bottom line: it is a Great book. True story. Go buy it.
You can get it right here: Magic Wonder – We Are All Made Of Love
Now, that you’ve relaxed, knowing where and how it can be yours, let’s get to know a little better.
This story is completely and totally based on what happened in our real lives, with our first child. She, just like Magic Wonder, was afraid of the dark, and yes, she was Really scared…
We tried to help her cope with her fear in many creative ways, until one day something happened that changed the whole story…
But I’m not going to ruin your surprise.
I will tell you this: this book encompasses not only a beautiful, touching and funny story, but an exciting way of parenting, and, well, of being better at being human. Following the true listening pathway (more in this post ), this children’s book is a presentation of how empowering and valuable it is to really truly respect our children – even when it means dealing with feelings they have that we don’t really understand (Can you recognise: “there’s nothing there- what are you scared of??”), or dealing with pain we never want them to feel.
It is about joining them on their battles, rather than to try and avoid those with our: ‘it’s nothing/nothing happened’ theory, and together – find the way to win them all – as a Powerful Team.
On a more practical level, it also opens a door to get to know and use the Power of our imagination. Believe me, it can be SO helpful (and easy!) to use this power, especially with kids (but absolutely not only!).
I know that I wasn’t too humble in this post, so why stop now: the responses that I get from parents after reading our children’s book for the first time are wonderful. But the responses that I get from parents after reading Magic Wonder to their kid just blows me away! Kids link to this book, it speaks their language, makes them feel understood and special.
So many of them ask to have it in their beds with them, and even ask to take Magic Wonder with them when going on a family trip (and it’s small and compact, so you’ll love this idea too!). Parents shared that after reading Magic Wonder, their child started writing his own play, another child started writing her own book, and I Love it that it brought the sense of capability, and encouraged the beautiful flame of creativity to shine!
It’s a book that speaks about fears and speaks about strength. About the inner Power that each of us has, that can defeat any witch and any fear. Best suited for children 3-8 years old, but will also be a perfect gift for any child (3 to 99) that has fears. Don’t we all?
It’s a book about being together – thinking together, trying together, fighting together, and about making a change – understanding that the Power is within, and with that Power – we are unstoppable!
But most of all, it’s a beautiful and loving experience, and at its end – it’ll make both of you want to stay another moment in a pure loving hug, with a Smile in your heart and excitement in your eyes.
At least, this is what it always does to me.
I invite you warmly to bring the Magic into your family.
Don’t forget to tell us how it was.
